This course offers an in-depth understanding of the key processes involved in overland and water-based oil spills, along with practical training in simulating such events using the OilFlow2D computational model. Participants will gain hands-on experience in setting up and running a variety of scenarios, including pipeline spills affecting sensitive areas and spills in marine and riverine environments. Through these simulations, the course enables participants to predict oil movement based on spill location and volume, providing critical insights for spill response planning.
