The new RiverFlow2D Water Quality (WQ) module extend RiverFlow2D beyond hydraulic modeling to simulate the transport and interaction of key water quality constituents. The WQ Module integrates water quality processes directly with RiverFlow2D’s 2D shallow-water flow simulation, accounting for complex topography and wetting and drying conditions. It enables steady and unsteady simulations to assess how water quality evolves throughout a water system, providing a powerful tool for evaluating the environmental impacts of surface water flows.
